Florence Henderson, everyone's favorite TV mom, doesn't take her job lightly and her parental duties didn't end when "The Brady Bunch" went away.Henderson, in Beverly Hills to talk about her upcoming Hallmark Channel movie "Ladies of the House," didn't shy away from expressing her displeasure at the reality show path that Christopher Knight, who played her son Peter Brady on "The Brady Bunch," has taken in recent years. Knight's career took a significant turn when he was cast on "The Surreal Life" and met former "America's Next Top Model" winner Adrianne Curry and went on to get engaged to and marry Curry on VH1's "My Fair Brady."
Asked what she thought about her "Brady" kids making runs into reality TV, Henderson didn't even crack a smile and said, "See this face?"
"I think it's a double-edged sword," she said. "Actors want to work and when you've done roles that are so popular, it's very difficult sometimes to move on."
Henderson said Knight is like a son to her and their bond became stronger when his mother died. She recalled when Knight met Curry on "The Surreal Life" and what followed.
"He was very involved with this person he met, and they were trying to force him to get engaged," Henderson said. She is a licensed hypnotherapist and Knight asked her to counsel them.
"So I went and counseled them and they didn't take my advice at all," Henderson said. "They did get engaged and they did get married and he asked me to come and counsel the marriage. I said, 'No, but maybe I'll come and counsel the divorce."
In 2006, after Knight's show first aired, Henderson took her own turn on "The Surreal Life," counseling some of the celebrities on the show in four episodes.
"I had never done reality television and I thought that was interesting," she said. "I did it, and I don't have to do it again, I don't think."
Henderson's new project, "Ladies of the House," according to Hallmark Channel press materials, is about three women take on the daunting task of renovating a run-down house to raise money for their church. It becomes deeply personal for for each of them and helps their examine their own lives." It also stars Donna Mills of "Knots Landing" and Pam Grier, most recently of "The L Word," and premieres Oct. 18 at 9 p.m. on The Hallmark Channel.

I always loved The Brady Bunch, it is wild. Every episode there was more trouble. I thought Jan ( Eve Plumb) was beautiful, big deal. I was shocked when I heard about (Susan Olson) was high, I was shocked. Now Carol Brady, Flourence Henderson is going out further with Cristopher Knight, More power to them...Please do not write back

I agree with Florence, old school actors will do anything for money and he is no different, i think its sad that they have to expose themselves, and i really think he shouldn't have married, but to each is own.Wed, 09 Jul 2008 00:32:54 GMT | bgoody

Real nice. T.V. mom doing young children stars, now has some morals to pass on to them, and others. Take your own advice Florence, and leave other people alone. The marriage probably won't workout, but how many do these days? Get a real life!

Who would have believed that Chris Knight would have turned into a near child-molester and hook up with such a **bleep**? He should watch his own show and realize how stupid he looks doing everything he can to make that gold digger happy just for another piece of a**. I'm disgusted. I've got to agree with Flo!Wed, 09 Jul 2008 13:13:24 GMT | coupette

I have serious doubts this marriage will work out. Everyone needs to leave step back and let it run the path. This way they have nobody to blame the divorce on.Sandie C

I'm sorry, but Florence should not talk about other people like that. She's just some lady who had one big role on T.V and can't move on from it, and Christopher is doing just fine in what he's doing. So some washed up actress shouldn't be saying any of that, and at least Christopher has a life.Wed, 09 Jul 2008 14:37:18 GMT | shawk101

Television and all entertainment people should just shut up and perform. They lead make believe lives on and off camera. They are paid to pretend to be someone they are not and say words that are not their own. Do that long enough and I wonder if they know where fantasy ends and reality begins.Wed, 09 Jul 2008 16:32:38 GMT | SEAL76

Reality shows are a haven for out of work celebrities either drugged out or worn out.But I guess if they have no other bankable skillset this is where they end up.
My opinion of reality shows is that they are a cheap substitute for quality television.
I have very little time for them I view them as a car wreck and while I stop to look I just move on.

Although Adrienne seems stoned most of the time and Chris seems to really love her, who is Florence Henderson to "counsel" them. Funny how she thinks reality tv is so bad yet I wonder if she got paid to appear on all those episodes of Surreal life? Hypocrit. Besides it did what she wanted, produced more press for her movie.Fri, 11 Jul 2008 20:01:05 GMT | southerngal_with_attitude

I think that Carol Brady should keep her mouth shut, Any one dates and has sex with her son-Greg Brady is not one to talk. She has reservations about their marriage. Did she have reservations when she started to enter into a relationship with a boy half her age. No she did not. She talk about reality TV, but as she said she went on the Surreal Life and did some herself and she is lying if she said she wouldn't do it again because she would. To me when date someone who is suppose to be your son, you are devoid of character. Chris is happy are far as I see. If he isn't that is his cross to bear not hers..Fri, 11 Jul 2008 22:05:51 GMT | slyone02
