Robert 'Bob' CrowleyRobert "Bob" Crowley (58)
Hometown: Portland, Maine
Occupation: Physics Teacher

Robert Crowley considers himself a hybrid of Indiana Jones and Robinson Crusoe. He loves the outdoors and is always ready for his next adventure. Robert is a high school physics teacher in Gorham, Maine and holds both Associate and Bachelor degrees in forestry from the University of Maine - Orono and a Masters of Education degree from the University of Southern Maine.

However, after the school bell rings, Robert becomes an entrepreneur. His wide range of jobs span from being a first mate on a research boat for the Smithsonian Institution in Canada to an entomologist for the USDA, to a skunk relocater, as well as President, Vice President and Chief Negotiator for his local Teacher's Union. When not on an adventure, Robert interests include journal writing, story telling, photography, bone collecting, archeology and camping.

This tree climbing scientist, who describes himself as honest, adventurous, resourceful and witty, built his truly "green" summer cabin back when green was only referred to as the color. His "green" cabin was completely built with recycled material and requires a fraction of the energy of the average U.S. home. He's built numerous structures from recycled material including wharfs, saunas, a chicken house and a hunting cabin. Robert strategy is to be a provider and to fly under the radar on SURVIVOR.

He's out to prove that nice guys can make it to the end of the game. Robert and his wife Peggy reside in Portland, Maine. They have two sons, David and John, one daughter, Page, and a high maintenance cat named William. Robert's birth date is February 25, 1951.

I believe he will go pretty far because he looks and sounds like a provider.

I don't generally care for people from the New England area, but this guy could be at threat in the long run. I don't think he needs the money so I really don't want him to win, but he should be there up to the end.

If Bob, Gillian and Marcus get together and last long enough, they could probably leave the place with a new village, complete with buildings, gardens and a health clinic! Wow, what skill sets each brings to the game! Unfortunately, each sounds too nice to survive the apparent manipulative natures of some of their compatriots.

I think Bob will do well as long as he stays under the radar and does not make it overly apparent that he is a provider and an idea man. It looks like there are a lot of very self absorbed lookingSurvivors this season, and they may dismiss his ablilites. This will be their downfall and I hope it is.

I'll be rooting for this guy to go far. He sounds like he has a lot of skills to offer his tribe and I'd like to see a "good guy" finish first. I just hope he can stay "under the radar."

I always like the older guys! They have a lot to offer. Much more so than the younger, arrogant kids

I hope Bob wins it all based on the game so far. I think it will be difficult based on all the twenty something year olds though. That generation adds new meaning to "out wit"! But, maybe this time around a good ole boy will take home the prize!

One more comment from me: Bob has his integrity and his hard work and life experiences to take him thru the game. But sometimes, big boobs and a cunning smile win out. Lets hope the other guys can outwit and outlast along with Bob by using their brain (the one located on top of their shoulders)....just a thought

Brainiac, You don't "Generaly care for people from the New England area" What do you base this on? I've lived in New England all my life and been all over the country and find this to be one of the all around best places to live, work and play. Get real.... GO BOB!!!!!!!
