Mario Vazquez Vazquez abruptly dropped out of the competition after making it to the Top 12. All kinds of rumors swirled about his departure, which he said was for "family reasons." Scott Savol Savol skirted a mild dust-up when "The Smoking Gun" revealed that he'd pleaded "no contest" to a misdemeanor for disorderly conduct. Corey Clark Clark was disqualified shortly after a report on "The Smoking Gun" that revealed an arrest that stemmed from an altercation with his sister and included charges of battery on four police officers. The event happened shortly after Clark advanced to the Top 24 in "Idol's" second season.
