Enceladus Close-up
This image provided by NASA shows a closeup of Saturn's moon Enceladus. The Cairo Sulcus crosses the upper left portion of the image. An unnamed fracture curves around the lower right corner. The Cassini spacecraft began sending data to Earth Monday Aug. 11, 2008 following a very close flyby of Saturn's moon Enceladus. During the closest approach, Cassini successfully passed only 50 kilometers (30 miles) from the surface of the tiny moon. The image was taken with the Cassini spacecraft narrow-angle camera on Aug. 11, 2008, a distance of approximately 2,621 kilometers (1,629 miles) above the surface of Enceladus.
