Ever found it absurd that card companies require your payment to make it to them by 9 a.m. or 12 p.m. on the due date? I sure have. Thankfully, as Ron Lieber of the New York Times reports, the new rules state that if your payment arrives by 5 p.m. on the due date, it must be considered an on-time payment.
