Madoff in Prison Scrap?

If you've ever watched "Oz" or "Law & Order," chances are you've learned a thing or two about prison life. Rule No. 1 for new blood behind bars, at least according to most Hollywood portrayals of life in the slammer: Beat someone up early on... just to show your fellow inmates they shouldn't mess with you.

Apparently disgraced Ponzi schemer Bernard Madoff has seen his fair share of crime-and-punishment TV dramas. Either that, or the so-called prison consultant he hired prior to starting his sentence passed along similar advice.

According to an article by Rich Calder in yesterday's New York Post, the 71-year-old Madoff was involved in a dustup behind bars last week. And if Calder's source is to be believed, things got pretty hot and heavy… but had a happy ending:
"The shouting match got so heated that the inmate pushed Madoff, who shoved back harder with both hands, causing his attacker to stumble....

The next day, Madoff and his attacker, described by inmates as a white male over 60 years old, made up and were spotted hanging out together."
So who won the fight? And what were the two senior citizens arguing about anyway? For more on the alleged prison-yard brawl, check out this clip from FOX Business:

Color us skeptical. For starters, Madoff doesn't strike us as a "scrappy" type -- in any sense of the word. And anyone who has seen the famous clip of a perp-walking Bernie graciously accepting shoves from photographers on a New York City street knows he's a lover, not a fighter.

Then again, prison certainly can change a man's outlook. At least that's what we've seen on "Oz" and "Law & Order" anyway...

Do you believe the Post's story about Madoff's fight? Do you think Bernie will find more trouble behind bars? Share your thoughts.

It's amazing what somebody else's money can buy Madoff, isn't it?
I hope he gets his **bleep** kicked while he's there... he's despicable. I want him to pay every penny back and not be released from prison until then.. I hope he's paying for his stay in prison too!

I don't think he'll last long behind bars. Someone will get to him. He deserves his new vacation spot.

To begin with, Madoff is not in a hardcore prison, if he was he would be dead already. He will do the little bit of time he does at a medical facility, a far cry from what comes to mind when you think of prison. The writing is on the wall as to what the story about Madoff is going to be. You have to realize that Madoff is, shall we say, an "insider". If there was any justice here in America, he would have been taken down a long time ago.

The S.E.C. had to jump through hoops in order to not investigate and arrest Madoff for years. The story that will be reported by the media is that Madoff dies of cancer, and the "cancer trump card" has already been released as reported that another prisoner claimed that Madoff has cancer. The way it works is, if they keep repeating a lie long enough, the people will believe it to be true. I read someone elses comment somewhere that
said that they will fake his death and he will move to Israel. I belief this will happen, although it may be somewhere else instead of Israel, but if Ihad to pick, my money would also be on Israel. The fact is, the "powers that be" take care of their own and Madoff is one of the insiders. How ironic, Madoff has, for all of his life MADE OFF LIKE A BANDIT, and will continue to MAKE OFF LIKE THE BANDIT/SNAKE THAT HE IS.

Nothing has changed, there is no JUSTICE here in AMERIKA with regards to the Banking Elite and there partners in crime. Example #1 BUSH and company

Example #2 OBAMA and company

All we deal with is facts and these are the facts on the ground. It won't be long and we will be told that poor madoff has suddenly kicked the bucket, just one more scam perpetrated against the people and the sheople here in Amerika.

LOL Do you mean he will become "ill", put in hospital and get snuck out in a laundry truck? Honestly, I believe your assessment and agree.

I agree with you....he is not alone in this. Also, I disagree with everyone about his life in prison. Let's realize he is not with folks with money that they lost to him. He is with criminals...just like himself....who may have robbed someone for $100.00 and would like to buddy up with him and find out how they too can rip people off for millions, et al. I feel he is probably getting undue respect for his peers.

Now I've heard it all. How many of you think he's in Sing Sing or Atica I don't think so. Dear Bernie is in a prison where all the inmates would be fodder in a real prison and if he was in a real prison he'd be dead now. Look people there are prisons and medium security jails for white collar criminals yes some do go to the real prisons. But if Bernie still has money hidden how long do you think he'd last before someone threatend him to give up the money or slowly torted him or what about the gangs that have members on the outside that can go after his family. Sorry America Dear Bernie is in a day camp he'd never survive a real prison.
