It's Miley's Party & She'll Charge If She Wants To

It's going to be a very sweet 16 for a certain multimillionaire pop star! “Entertainment Tonight” is reporting that Disney teen singing sensation Miley Cyrus is celebrating the big 1-6 on Oct. 5 at – where else? – Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif.

What were you expecting? Cake and ice cream at the local bowling alley? The party even has an official name "Miley's Sweet 16 – Share the Celebration," although her birthday isn't officially until Nov. 23.

The awwww-isn't-that-sweet part is that Miley has invited some kids from Youth Service America, a nonprofit organization that helps mobilize young people to volunteer, to the private party. The weird part is that Miley is also selling a limited number of tickets – at $250 a pop – to fans who would like to attend. Fans whose parents have deep, deep pockets.

Does Miley – who reportedly earned over $18 million last year – really need to charge fans for this party, which Disney is undoubtedly bankrolling for one of their biggest cash cows?

I am a huge Miley fan and I love her and it was hard through the pic prob but now she is selling tickets to a party like shes poor. Now I mean who wouldn't want to go to her party but who would want to pay to go there. This time she's gone too far!

If only she could actually sing, I have seen live shows and she sucks. Another talentless waste of space robbing young kids.

I am very disappointed in Miley...I thought she was above all that....At the very least, I hope she plans to donate the $250 to charity! Shame on you, Miley!

I have no problem with Miley's "peeps" charging for the event. Perhaps she should specify that any profits will go to Youth Service America. Then this would be a charitable contribution.

Little "Ms. Miley" should throw a party for underprivlaged kids for her "sweet 16" and show some community spirit instead of being a typical teen where "it's all about her"...she can afford it!

Keep in mind; if they didn't charge too many people would show up. Sometimes you need to tag a cost on an event to keep the # people down. There always seems to be someone complaining. If there was no way to get tickets, you'd complain about that. If there was no charge, you'd complain when the tickets ran out. Never satisfied. Get a life already.

If the money goes to charity, absolutely. If it goes to her...nope. She's rich enough, but if she can make a good cause out of it, why not?

agreed....everyone has a complaint. Do i like her? no lol, but i'm also not a 10 year old girl either. lets think back about what we adults liked when we were kids....thats the difference. I guarantee the people on here blogging about how bad she is, are much older than 18 lol so to us adults, of course she sucks! LOL

I THINK IT IS A SHAME THAT HER PEOPLE WOULD TAKE ADVANTAGE OF HER FANS AND THEIR FAMILIES LIKE THAT. WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE LIKE MY SON AND HIS FRIEND WHO WOULD LIKE TO ATTEND AND MAYBE MEET MILEY BUT CANNOT GET A CHANCE BECAUSE THEY DON'T EVEN HAVE THE MONEY TO GO TO DISNEYLAND LET ALONE PAY TO MEET SOMEONE THAT IS THEIR OWN AGE. SHAME ON YOU MILEY'S PEOPLE FOR COMING UP WITH THIS ONE. IT REALLY MAKES MILEY LOOK BAD, LIKE ALL SHE IS IN IT FOR IS THE MONEY.

Her and her no talent **bleep** clown father can jump off a cliff for all I care. I AM SO SICK OF HER FUGLY FACE EVERYWHERE GAH!!! WHO cares!!!???!!!

I think its really sad that she can't allow her fans to share in the fun without milking more money off of them. After all not every teen is filthy rich and if it wasn't for kids like my daughter who buy her products she would't have anything. I guess she's not familiar with appreciation.

Like her father the attention **bleep**, she is a money **bleep**. Shameful!!!

Her and disney have made enough money off her fans.
Maybe at the very least they can give away a limited amount of tickets to a contest winner or some sort of drawing.

It's not really all that expensive. Have you seen the cost of Disneyland admission tickets lately?

Thu, 21 Aug 2008 20:36:10 GMT | jamiern1234

I did't know they were $250.00

Thu, 21 Aug 2008 20:40:34 GMT | Petrouchka

Why wouldn't it be all about her? IT"S HER 16th BIRTHDAY PARTY!!! Why don't some of you have your birthday at Disneyland and invite friends and let's see how much it would cost each person.

How sad that Miley has become a cash-cow rather than the pop-star in tune with her fans that she claimed she was. How disapointing for the fans who don't have the money to go. Shame on you Miley!

I have never liked her to begin with honestly, but finding this information already adds to my dislike. She is unbelievably wealthy! In my opinion, she should give the money to charity or hire people to go to her party. This girl is an example of greed everybody!
