More Problems for Hathaway

Poor Anne Hathaway. First she finds out that her now ex-lover Raffaello Follieri is a scam artist who was arrested and unable to meet his bail of $21 million, and now the FBI has seized nude photos of the actress taken by Follieri. The question now is when will these photos surface?

The National Enquirer is reporting that Raffaello Follieri, who dated Hathaway for four years, was arrested last month on charges of money laundering and fraud after claiming to be the CFO of the Vatican and bilking investors, bribing Vatican employees, and not paying bills in the process. After briefly defending the creep, Hathaway dropped him shortly after the arrest.

The FBI confiscated Hathaway’s personal diaries to be used as evidence in the case against Follieri, but the Enquirer claims nude photos taken by her ex were also found. According to the tabloid, “in additional to the naked photos he took of Anne, 25, he also prized a sizzling photo of her in black fishnet stockings, a garter belt and bustier that totally exposed her top. Follieri, 30, supposedly paid a very famous photographer to take that steamy shot.”

The Enquirer also learned that Anne’s brother Michael tried to retrieve some of her belongings in a storage room in the Bronx used by the couple.

Hathaway will most likely walk away from the situation unscathed, as she has already appeared topless in “Brokeback Mountain.”

Ms. Hathaway needs to watch her back and the FBI needs to ensure the security in place to avoid public display of these photos. It sounds like these were commissioned by the couple when they were together for their own use and should not be made public. Undoubtedly these will probably be "accidentally" leaked to the press somehow and an investigation will not turn up the culprits. As to what bearing or leverage these photos could possibly have on the case against her former boyfriend is yet to be seen. Once again, one must remember that being a star does not insulate you from exposure to unscrupulous or unsavory people. In fact the world of Hollywood seems to be crawling with people who have an agenda or aangle for using people to make money...including the paparrazi who have actually tried to invent stories and situations for their own gain. I would not trade places with any of these people. Let me live the simple life.

I couldn't agree with you more. Anne has done nothing wrong and i'm sure is just so worried about these very personal photos getting out. Unfortunatley the gossip magz will have a great time with these if they get out and make tons of money.

Why the rush to innocence? Ms. Hathaway may well be an enabler of her criminal boyfriend. She lived with this slimeball for four years. This is somewhat like a piano player in an old bordello proclaiming that he didn't know what was going on upstairs.

Seriously, how did the Enquirer ever get a hold of what was siezed by the FBI yesterday? Sounds like the leak is the photographer hoping to get his name in print rather than the seized evidence list being made public to none other than the Enquirer. If it truly was public knowledge, it would have shown up elsewhere.

Why does anyone care? I certainly wish I hadn't read the story and but now I'm commenting on it. Now I feel like I'm getting caught up in the frenzy!!!!!!!! Now I have to watch Broken Spine Mountain....Naw...I still don't have to see that either. BUT...........My heartrate IS increasing and I'm feeling dizzy........I'm fainting from anxiety...are those photos going to surface or not? Oh NO! They ARE! HERE THEY COME....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry, Anne. You're an excellent actress. Too bad you got tied up with someone like that. I would suppose you'd think twice next time; however, had I been in your shoes I certainly would have at least called the Vatican to find out IF or not they had a representative by that name.

Food for thought for your next boyfriend; get references, just like an employer, first, then accept the live-in invitation. Simply put...sometimes it's better for a celeb to either stay with celeb dating...or know the other person through an acquaintance.
