So, let's just say you recently gave birth to the most famous twins in the free world. What next? First, negotiate a deal for the first photos of the little tykes for a rumored cool $11 mil. Second, pick out godparents. And as the most famous parents of the most famous twins in the world, you can't pick just any old godfather, it has to be someone who's just as A-list as your little bundles of joy...

The Mirror is reporting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have asked Bono - the lead singer of a little band you may have heard from called U2 - to be godfather to wee Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline. The Jolie-Pitts have been shacking up with the family at Bono's chateau in the south of France and apparently, as a gesture of gratitude, Bono's been asked to play godparent to the little rugrats. According to the article, Bono "accepted the offer immediately"

The Mirror also reports that Jolie wants to ask her ex-lover, model Jenny Shimizu, to be the godmother, but that Brad hasn't yet given that little eyebrow-raiser his stamp of approval. Maybe he's thinking of asking his ex, Jennifer Aniston, instead?

Sick, sick, sick, sick to death of seeing their faces and hearing about every time they poop! They do nothing but make millions for showing off their mugs. Who cares? $11 mil for baby pictures? This world has gone insane.

11 million. Wow! I hope they can write off the entire amount for their 2008 taxes. If only more celebrities would do this. Great tax write off and a great charity donation.

Godparents are usually chosen for religious purposes. Is that the case here? Since Brad and Angelina are not even married, I assume not. What is the purpose of their picking godparents afterall? It is ridiculous.

Seriously, who cares, Brad cheated on his wife and had 3 children out of wedlock with the sleazoid he cheated with. YEA!! Thats the kind of male role model I want for my children. NOT, I cant stand the 2 of them. Brangelina are nothing more than baby factories. The world has TOO MANY children now who need adopting, stop populating it with more.

regina, I disagree:

Godparents are also chosen to be another supportive adult figure in a child's life who helps them with their life. A special person in addition to their parents that a child can turn to as they're growing up. Marriage is getting outdated as more and more couples choose to live together and raise families without the nuptials. Get with the times. This isn't the 1950's anymore. The only people who seem to be pushing for marriage these days are those who don't already have these rights, i.e. gays and lesbians, etc. Open your mind and don't be so judgemental and intolerant.

Children need adopting, I believe they've already adopted 3. There is nothing wrong with wanting biological children as well. I hope you're planning or have already adopted children. And yes, traditionally Godparents are chosen to be a spiritual guide in the religious upbringing of the children.People have turned Godparents into something it's not, it no longer has the same meaning it's supposed to and it should be someone who is willing and able to be around the children on a regular basis.

Godparents are not supposed to be chosen as a thank you for letting us rent your home. Get real. Who cares if some magazine is willing to pay 11mil for the lil tykes pictures, jolie-pitt donate the money to worthwhile causes anyway so let them put the money to good use.

Sounds like jealousy to me!!
Brad and Angelina make a lot of money and donate millions every year to worthy causes. And besides that, they have adopted and have the means to have a large family.
It makes me feel good to know that at least some wealthy actors are actually being proactive and donating millions to worthy causes!
