Sean PennResident Hollywood bad boy Sean Penn may have passed the trouble gene on to his son Hopper Jack.

RadarOnline.com is reporting that the 16-year-old was busted last week at the school he attends in the ritzy Malibu area.

The younger Penn was taken into custody by the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, but details of his arrest have not been released because Hopper is a minor.

Hopper Jack’s parents, Sean Penn and Robin Wright Penn, married in 1996, three years after he was born. Their relationship has been tumultuous to say the least. The couple has made headlines by announcing and withdrawing plans to divorce several times since 1997.

On Aug. 12, 2009, Robin Wright Penn filed for divorce – declaring that this time she has no plans to reconcile.

What Do You Think?

You've got to be kidding me!...who cares? The father is an affected Hollywood brat...what do you expect from the son?

Sean Penn is such an affected jerk...not surprised about his son but sad he has an idiot as a father.

It couldn't have been for selling drugs. That would be far too capitalistic for an offspring of Che Penn.

I agree so far, Sean Penn's nothing to write home about......he hasn't done a decent flick since Fast Times ....Hollywood kids think their stuff doesn't stink, well, I say let them learn the hard way, just like any other kid.

Maybe Penn can have the proceedings moved to Venezuela or Cuba where he feels so at home.

I've always liked Robin Wright Penn, so I'm sorry to hear their son is in trouble. I hope it's nothing too serious.

Here ya all go again, trashing and bashing, S. Penn is just like everyone else with the exception that he has a job and life you ALL wish you had, quit being the judges of everyone, get a life and grow up people! As far as Hopper goes, he's just a typical kid being raised in "the now". Parents are always the blame, I'll give you that, morals are not being passed down as they should be...that's all, nothing else. I wish I could write about each and everyone of you "PERFECT PEOPLE"!

My god people......in every state, in every town, at every high school across America, some 16 year old kid is getting popped for something. We just don't hear about it. Then again if I had a name like Hopper Jack I would probably cause a ruckus too! As much as I can't stand that commie SOB Penn, give the kid a break. It's not the kid's fault he's got knuckleheads for parents. And furthermore I really can't believe we are even blogging about this non-news item.......

In this world you get back what you give out. As far as lazorrazor's comment "he has a job and life you ALL wish you had" I don't think that is quite the case. I raised four boys in "the now" and they are everyone decent law abiding members of society with morals and values. S. Penn draws the ire of everyone because he is a creap sitting high on his Hollywood throne proclaiming vast social and political knowledge that is nothing more than an echo of his leftist ilk.

Er, what is your problem drtyrotnsnob.... I think the name says it all..... I too raised two excellent children, both college grads, one with a masters degree, another with a PhD, and I was a single mother..... however, c'mon, be real, who wouldn't want to have the fame and fortune of the hollywood glitz? If you say you would not then methinks you are lying through your teeth.

drtyrotnsob, this means you are one of those who took the time to raise your children with the good mind and morals you have, this is good and I commend you! I'll change my "job" statement to "most" people wish they had! See, I can be reasonable!

I'm very sure most people ARE good and raise they're kids right, at least I try to believe that. I'm one who took the time with my kids and am now a proud parent of two awesome grown children that are well educated and have good jobs, they both put themselves through school...isn't that nice?

I actually like lots of Sean Penn's movies, Robin's too. Yes he's had his share of nasty headlines for good reason but nobody lives with the Penns. You can't blame the parents for what a child does, sometimes there is no explanation for a kid doing the wrong thing. As for the comment about Sean leaving the country if Bush was elected, does any one remember Barbra Streisand saying the same thing?? Both give to numerous charities and I would like to know if anyone had their millions if they'd do the same???

Guess you did not see Bad Boys, Colors, Casualties of War, Dead Man Walking, The Game, The Thin Red Line, MYSTIC RIVER, or 21 Grams.
