No More Kids for Hasselbeck

Elizabeth Hasselbeck“The View’s” Elizabeth Hasselbeck is known as the show’s resident conservative, but she opened up to co-host Barbara Walters about how she’s toned down her wardrobe in an effort to keep from getting pregnant with a fourth child.

The prolific baby makers’ weakness, she told “View” co-host Barbara Walters on Babs’ satellite radio show, is that her husband is “so cute” that she has trouble staying away from him.

UsMagazine.com reports when that Walters asked Hasselbeck if she's ever heard of birth control, she replied, "Yeah, I have. It takes a while to kick in once you start one.” Adding, “But in the meantime, I just find him incredibly attractive. So, it's not like I'm that disciplined, so right now, my strategy is dressing in a way that will not get me pregnant."

How exactly does one dress to avoid becoming a mommy again?

"I'm trying to wear nothing too revealing," she says.

In August, Hasselbeck gave birth to son Isaiah, who joined older sister Grace, 4, and big brother Taylor, who is entering the terrible twos. With a decent-sized family and careers to juggle, three seems to be the magic number for her and her NFL-quarterback-turned-football-analyst hubby Tim Hasselbeck.

As the interview on Walters' SIRIUS XM radio show, “Here's Barbara,” continued, Elizabeth responded to the idea of how she would handle another pregnancy.

“I don’t know how that would happen,” she said, “because I'm clearly avoiding my husband.”

Maybe she is a devote catholic and does not believe in birth control. Contraception isn't always the answer.

Ok you are all saying that she is dumb for saying she's going to change her wardrobe to avoid getting pregnant and why not just use birth control, but if you actually read the article Barbra asked her about it and she said "Yeah, I have [Thought of BC]. It takes a while to kick in once you start one." So before you start calling someone dumb and making fun of them, maybe, just maybe, you should actually read everything that is said.

Ever heard of a CONDOM!! Works from the get-go, provided you have the intelligence to know how to use one. Dressing to prevent pregnancy?! Give me a break!

It's so hard to listen to her speak, let alone watch her on TV. Why doesn't she tell the truth, her husband only held the clipboard for the Eagles and never ever got into the game. Stop telling us he played for the NFL. Holding of the clipboard is not playing, only dressing as one. Neither you or your husband are attractive???

Your use of the word unintelligence strikes me as very...unintelligent. And it's DEVOUT, not devote. Two completely separate words with two different meanings. Also, contraception is always the answer if you are choosing not to procreate. This woman is the most narcissistic attention seeker there is. Of course there are forms of birth control she can use that work immediately if she so chooses. And of course she was TRYING to be funny...but as she's never succeeded at that before, why should we expect her to succeed now?

Dallboy: You're wrong on both counts. Tim Hasselbeck was more successful in high school, and more successful in college than his most successful brother Matt. Tim played seven games successfully with the Red Skins, and did not get his starting chances with the NY Giants, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens for reasons other than ability, namely height. If given the chance, Tim would have proven himself another John Unitas in his capacity to win.
Elizabeth is a fine woman, very intelligent and dialogical, whose love for family is patently obvious, and her grasp of moral and ethical principles have made her an icon for the rest of us. I do not share her political beliefs, but strongly agree with her courageous stand in support of her admirable religious beliefs.

Some of you are taking her waaay too serious. Do you really think she plans on avoiding another pregnancy by simply toning down her wardrobe? Obviously she's joking. Chill out. If Michelle Obama had said the exact same thing I bet most of you wouldn't think anything of it.

Elisabeth is a freak! Her clothes are toned down and way overpriced on QVC! Maybe the only way her wimpy husband can feel like a man in that household is to have SEX!

Here's the thing -- dressing to avoid pregnancy implies that one could dress to become pregnant. I will be the first to admit that Biology was never my strongest subject, but..... I wonder, if I wear just the right designer outfit, will I have a designer baby?

The two words ARE similar. The definition for devout: devoted to divine worship or service

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/devout?r=75&src=ref&ch=dic

Being devout about something means you are devoted to it.
